tell me a story

12-30-00

method: Second in a series of five Photoshop collages that will eventually be postcards (virtual) and notecards (fleshspace).

Everybody has a story.

In some places, the river of Story in my life is wide and deep. In others, it trickles along, barely covering the surface of my psyche.

I tell stories. I tell them with words, with pictures. I tell them verbally and without saying a word. I wear them in my body, my face.

I confuse the story with my Self. I believe sometimes that because this or that happened, I am a sum of my stories. My story defines me, though I struggle to write new narratives, new bylines.

The location changes. The story remains the same.

Tell me your story.
