timeless widsom
When you dance with the devil, you have no right to bitch that you've scorched your hair and smell like smoke.
I need to remember this.

interactive sophia
Okay, upon precursory first glance, this interactive type site looks really cool.
I've heard of a wiki before, one of the letterboxer crew has a site for Nebraska boxes that's all wiki updated. But I wasn't really sure how it worked. I'm still not sure, but wow, the applications seem like they could be really great, if you could attract the sort of audience you want.
Back in the day, when I was really starting to grasp the power of online collaboration, I had hundreds of ideas of interactive sites. Logistically, though, it was a nightmare. Editing all that HTML, all those submissions. Keeping everything straight. Nightmare.
This seems like it might solve some of those problems, and if it does, then all those interactive sites wouldn't be so hard to do, after all. I'm sensing the power and hte promise again and it's kind of scaring me. :)

the trail...
So I'm trying to get my mind off all the craziness going on with Ashcroft and his cronies, and I notice that it's getting sunny outside, and I think that maybe if my butt doesn't hurt too much (bicycle seats are -murder- on the ol' cheeks...I know, I know. TMI.), I'd drag Maddie out for another long ride somewhere.
I found a picture of the trail I did the other day:

I'm down by Gasworks Park to start, about a mile or so this side o' the ship's canal. And I took a few detours. (One to go see a pug by the side of the trail, two for bookstores, not including the bookstore I stopped at when I finally got to Redmond, too. I *heart* books.)
According to this, it's 27 miles start to finish. So 30 miles was about right. And about all I can do, i think, before falling down and just laying there in the middle of the trail in a puddle of my own sweat.
