I have to tell somebody or I'll go crazy.
D's up for a USDA job. It pays a pretty decent salary (government jobs and benefits, of course), and ...
It's in Washington. Just on the other side of Mt. Rainier.
Like I'm going to be able to SLEEP until NOVEMBER when he finds out.

mailing update, out of bounds
I totally spaced posting here with the first sixty that went out.
*ahem* I was a little excited about having them done.
That said, here's the ones that are in envelopes, ready to go just as soon as the PO is open on Monday:
Lela S, in MI
Matt C in VA
Linda R in CA
Linda M in OR
Barbara G in MI
Jessica L in NJ
Donna H in PA
Diane P in PA
Deborah C in CA
Joy N in NV
Susan R in VA
Chris M in CA
Elizabeth M in FL
Christine C in NJ
Heather G in IL
Kate G in FL
Kara S in CA
Joan L in WI
Jena P in MA (so she has something to read on the plane)
Stamps by Melanie in CA
Judith B in CA
Kris M in Seattle
Jeanne C in OH
Eva R in MA
Art by Gypsy Moon, CA
Megan N in Seattle
Ginn R in IL
Celia H in FL
Angela G in VA
There are some more in the car, but it's raining cats and dogs at the moment, so I'll update that later if I get a chance before hitting the post office.
I'm also binding up the NEXT batch of 60, which should take care of about 3/4 of the standing orders. Suffice it to say that if you've ordered a copy, you'll have it in the mailstream, winging its way to you within the week. (I'm pretty motivated. And blistered on my thumbs from binding, but it's a small price to pay for getting this done! Woohoo!)
Feedback is, of course, humbly requested. Praise will be met with unwavering gratitude, too. :)

a list. a to-do list, no less.
THINGS I CAN DO WITH MY COPIOUS SPARE TIME:
1. Write letters in response to those who have written.
2. Make more collages.
3. Do 27 Thing Fling-Boogies
4. Print tissue paper with my logo for ebay sales.
5. Do cute little things around the house for D.
6. Write next issue.
7. Write next issue, GMS.
8. Write next quarter, bMd.
9. Write next book (you're only as good as your next one).
10. Pull weeds, since they insist on growing.
11. Paint.
12. Make ATCs
13. Make more AB journals.
14. Stamp envelopes.
15. Answer email.
16. carve letterbox stamps.
17. Make wedding plans.
18. Add to the website.
19. Read.
20. Bike.
Now to finish what's on the plate before moving forward with daydreams.

I just realized that it's 1 p.m., and I haven't even started my work for the day.
I've done housework, answered some email (which I guess falls under "work"), and have packed a bit, but other than that, I haven't even started the to-do list.
I think I need to re-think my daily routine. And what better time to do so than when I'm under deadline and getting ready to move (for hopefully the last time in a while....)

OUT OF BOUNDS: finished.
(reposted from livejournal until I get an actual webpage done for this)
So it's done... :)

They are $18.95 here in the states ($22.95 elsewhere), which includes shipping/handling. They're 8.5" x 11", comb-bound with soft covers. And they are FULL of information. All the stuff you loved from "how to alter a book", expanded, revised, and added to, while still retaining the feel of the first. (With better artwork. It's hand-typed and hand-drawn, still, though, so no worries on that being gone. :>) There's also a little goodie bag in the first hundred copies.
I'm now taking preorders for it. They will not be shipping until the end of the month (when the printer gets them back to me), but if you preorder, you are GUARANTEED a copy from this first print run, and they -are- signed and numbered.
For folks in the US:
For folks anywhere else:
it's funny....I'm trying really hard to be all nonchalant and professional about this, when all I REALLY want to do is run around the room naked and covered in decorative fibers screaming "I HAVE A BOOK DONE I AM A WRRIIIIIITTTTEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!", but I think that may be going a bit overboard. Ahem. Off to go make some covers now, which are all hand-assembled.

Things I SHOULD be doing today, rather than sitting here:
- Getting the sleeping bags/equipment aired and ready.
- Finding rates and stuff for the campgrounds.
- Cleaning up, putting the last of the stuff on Ebay.
- Updating the IQ site, rather than just f*cking off.
- Collating more HTAAB.
- answering e-mail. I'm alienating people unintentionally.
